Sometimes it affords us power and entitlement, and sometimes it is the reason for prejudice, denigration, oppression. But to that end, it can be a kind of entrapment. It can act as a key to our personhood, a path towards owning our identity, something we work to inhabit in the fullest form or forms. A limit in this sense is a useful way to think about gender.
